In 1988, School Daze was released for the masses to watch at movie theaters. At the end of the movie, Half Pint was standing in the middle of the courtyard and screamed at the top of his lungs, “WAKE UP!” I want to sound the alarm to tell that person struggling to WAKE UP and do the thing hidden within them. It’s time to be aware of ourselves! Point out, it will help us recognize our areas of weakness & strength.
Pursue Your Dreams and Ignore the Naysayers
Society is so good at painting a false narrative of how an individual should live his/her life that a person gets so out of touch with themselves and their dreams. Hence, we try to fit into what society dictates is good for us. Enough is enough, let’s pursue our goals and dreams without worrying about other people’s opinions of us.
One of the biggest challenges people face when pursuing their dreams is feeling unsupported, unappreciated, and overlooked. Even successful people like me have faced these challenges. But I realized it’s okay to feel how I feel. I only have to look for myself and not worry about who likes or supports me because everyone is not for me anyway.
It can be hard to ignore the naysayers, but it’s essential if you want to succeed. You need to have a deep sense of self-awareness and the courage to follow your dreams. That’s why Billie Jean King said, “I think self-awareness is probably the most important thing towards being a champion.”
Becoming Self-Aware
When we are self-aware, we can make informed decisions about our lives, rather than simply following the crowd. We can identify our strengths and use them to our advantage, while also acknowledging our weaknesses and working to improve them. It’s important to remember that we are all unique individuals with different talents, passions, and aspirations. It’s time to stop comparing ourselves to others and start embracing our individuality.
Unfortunately, many people struggle with self-doubt, shyness, and feeling unsupported or overlooked. These are all common pain points, but they don’t have to hold us back. We can learn to overcome these challenges and reach our full potential by waking up to our true selves.
So, if you’re feeling unsupported, unappreciated, or overlooked, don’t let that stop you from pursuing your dreams. Instead, use it as motivation to prove the naysayers wrong. Believe in yourself and surround yourself with positive people who will support you and encourage you to keep going.
It’s also important to remember that we are all works in progress. It’s okay to make mistakes and stumble along the way. We should view these setbacks as opportunities to learn and grow, rather than letting them hold us back. By waking up to our true selves and pursuing our goals with determination and persistence, we can achieve great things.

In conclusion, it’s time to WAKE UP and pursue your dreams without fear or hesitation. Don’t let society or anyone else dictate your path in life. Have the courage to be yourself, and don’t let the naysayers bring you down. We need to be self-aware, identify our strengths and weaknesses, and surround ourselves with people who believe in us. We should view setbacks as opportunities to learn and grow, rather than letting them hold us back.
